Supply chain delays and inclement weather conditions impact Tubby’s Trail Dog Park reopening.
Tubby’s Trail Dog Park was scheduled to be reopened by November 30, 2024. Due to supply chain delivery delays and inclement weather conditions, the park will now be closed through December 30, 2024.
PenMet Parks opened a temporary dog park at the site of Peninsula Gardens (intersection of Wollochet and Fillmore). However, the permit for this temporary park will expire on November 30, 2024 and will not be renewed by Pierce County.
We hope to have Tubby’s Trail Dog Park reopen by the December 31, 2024 anticipated completion date and will keep everyone posted on any further delays.
The outer portion of the dog park will not open until the Spring of 2025 to allow grass and shrubs time to establish growth.
