PenMet Parks Hosts Community Open House on Fox Island

All are invited to Give Input on the Future of Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit

On Wednesday, December 13 at 5:30 PM, PenMet Parks will host an open house at Nichols Community Center. The purpose of this event is to create an interactive discussion with residents and stakeholders as PenMet Parks develops a master plan for the Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit. There are many natural features to carefully consider in developing a master plan for this special 3.56 acre park located on the northeast tip of Fox Island.

This input will help guide improvements and enhanced public access to the park. During the plan development process, special care will be given to protecting vegetation and wildlife of this special waterside ecosystem that includes 1,500 feet of marine shoreline.
