Board Meetings

The Board of Commissioners typically holds regular business meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 PM. Occasionally, these meeting dates, times, and locations may shift and if that happens, the public is notified. The Board often conducts study sessions before its business meetings in order to spend more time on specific topics. Please review the meeting agenda for study session start times.  

CHANGE OF MEETING DAYS: The September Board of Park Commissioner meeting schedule is different from the regular first and third Tuesday of each month. The September meetings will be Sept. 8 and Sept. 22, 2026.

Public Attendance and Comment

The Board of Park Commissioners regular business meetings are open to the public, reflecting  the intent of the Washington Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA), codified in Chapter 42.30 RCW, The board invites public comment during a specifically-designated period at each meeting. Citizens are limited to a three-minute time limit and may only speak once during the Citizen Comment period, to ensure the meeting proceeds in an orderly, timely manner.

All persons who attend Board meetings must also comply with Board Policy P10-106 regarding conduct during Board Meetings.  This Policy is to preserve order and decorum and discourage conduct that disrupts, disturbs or otherwise impedes the orderly conduct of Board meetings.
