The Gig Harbor Dragon Boat Team paddles year long in preparation for our race season, April through September. In a dragon boat, 20 paddlers work as a team to synchronize power and finesse strokes to build toward race readiness.
Therapeutic Crafting is for adults who enjoy working with their hands and can follow step-by-step instructions. The crafts in this four-session series were chosen for the beginner to intermediate crafter. Participants can experience the therapeutic benefits of crafts as a mindful activity to reduce stress or just slow down when life gets busy. Support and minor adaptations for mobility, handgrip, or vision issues due to a health condition can be provided in this class.
Exercise and Fitness
Our fitness classes are a low-impact cardio workout with a fusion of easy dance moves, marching/walking patterns, and a little kickboxing – all to a fun array of music! Strength training and stretching will follow with a Pilates-style core workout.
PenMet Summer Softball season is now open for registration! The season will run primarily Sunday afternoons and some Tuesday evenings during summer. Team captains should register themselves and submit their team roster by the 1st game.
Embrace your inner artist while making some new friendships. Each workshop will have you learning and experiencing new and exciting avenues of art!
