Senior Fitness Classes

This is an evidence-based strength, balance, and fitness class for older adults who wish to stay active and independent, and to reduce their risk of falling. Specific muscle groups are targeted to enhance strength and balance. The focus of this class is to have fun while exercising with music, chairs, and light weights.

Join PenMet Parks staff person Shannon Fisher, who is back by popular demand to lead line dancing on Thursdays. Shannon will continue to partner with YouTube to teach a fun variety of dance steps. This really is a lively enjoyable way to exercise with music!

These are great classes for anyone wanting to lose tension and stress! Chair-Assisted Yoga and Gentle Yoga & Meditation incorporate sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility.

This fun-filled meet-up is designed for seniors who want to socialize, stay active, and enjoy some friendly competition. Everyone is welcome to participate; no experience is required. Get ready to strike up new friendships while knocking down some pins! Equipment provided by Ocean5.
