The PenMet Board of Park Commissioners has scheduled a Dog Park Development Special Public Meeting for Monday, June 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Cottesmore, 2909-14th Ave NW, Gig Harbor.
The Peninsula Metropolitan Park District (PenMet Parks) was created in May of 2004 by a majority vote of Peninsula residents. The District's mission is "to enhance the quality of life on the Gig Harbor Peninsula by providing park and recreational opportunities for all of its citizens." Bujacich Off Leash Dog Area
The PenMet Parks Board of Commissioners is seeking public input on the naming of our new off leash dog area located at 10100 Bujacich Road NW (park in Fire District #5 headquarters lot). District's PEG Grant The PenMet Parks Board of Park Commissioners created a $65,000 matching grant program to help enhance Gig Harbor Peninsula area parks. The program is designed to encourage and assist individuals, businesses, and community groups interested in expanding park and recreation opportunities, and improving the quality of life on the peninsula.
